The "Turkey Trot" logo was created for a run/walk in the area that I live in. I created it using Adobe Fireworks, and a little bit of Photoshop. Tracing the turkey was painstaking, as every line had to be recreated from the original image. I'm very happy with how the logo turned out and I don't believe I would change anything about it!
My "Layers" assignment is probably the project I am least satisfied with. I was getting used to Photoshop and picture editing. As you can see, the orange in the hair and the blue on the robe are too light and too dark. If I were to redo this project, the colors would be changed and I would also bring the opacity of the colored layers down some.
My "Hue and Saturation" project turned out rather well. I used a picture of Mitt Romney and tried to create an American color type look. I couldn't use white because it wouldn't show, so I chose a light yellow. I also chose a green because I'd give Mitt the green light if I could vote.
The Masking assignment involved taking a picture and adding text, then hiding a picture behind it. I found a picture of Sahen Skinner on his Polaris RMK 800 and added text behind his sled, kind of in his "flight path." The picture of the mountains was added to the text by merging the text and picture layers. This is one of my favorite projects so far because it involves something I'm interested in, and it just looks SWEET!
Picture Clean Up was a fun project. Looking at this picture almost makes it look like I pulled it right from google, but obviously I couldn't do that. I took a house that was still under construction (yard torn up, lights missing, boring, driveway looked like crap, etc...) and added grass, gravel, garage lights and the American flag in the background. The most commonly used tool in this project was the Clone tool, which allowed me to take grass from another picture and basically "paint" it on this one. I think this project turned out fairly well.
